How to measure your dog

 Dogs come in all different shapes & sizes so here’s a quick guide to measuring them.

Find your dog's withers. It's the point at the base of the neck between the shoulder blades. Measure from here to the base of his tail and this provides the coat measurement. 

Dogs do vary and a broad boned dog will "take up" a little more of the length of the coat than a slight bitch.

With lurchers and long dogs you can sometimes go up a size for bitches to ensure good coverage but, on a dog, the belt on an oversized coat can get in the way when he wants a wee.
