“Hi Iain, The coat arrived yesterday and
I can't believe how well made it is.
Fantastic quality which of course
Witney Wool products would be. Regards

Friday Fox offers an alternative in a world where horse rugs and country clothing is increasingly mass produced from man made fibres. All our fabrics are traditionally made to the most exacting standards from natural fibres, principally wool and cotton moleskin.
Warm, soft and hardwearing, our moleskin is sourced from traditional mills in the Calder Valley of West Yorkshire. Used as lining in our body warmers, it ads extra warmth and luxury to keep the wearer warm and snug on the yard, gallops or on the way to the meet.
The Witney wool used in our garments is sourced usually from Early's of Witney, one of the oldest companies in Great Britainestablished in 1669. The company was first awarded a Royal Warrant in 1711 and, since then, they have held warrants awarded by thirteen successive British Monarchs including the present Queen Elizabeth. Aside from the shear quality, what makes Witney wool unique is the way the fibres are raised during the finishing process to form a fleecy pile on the surface, enhancing even further its warmth and soft feel.
To generations of racing and hunting folk, the traditional “golden stripe” Witney pattern is synonymous with warmth and cheer, quality and durability, and the best of English country life.
If you have never experienced the shear quality, softness and warmth of Witney wool, please contact us and we would be delighted to send you a sample.
Nothing else comes close which is why we use nothing else in our garments!
